The Institute for Human-Animal Connection intentionally elevates the value of the living world and the interrelationship and health of people, other animals and the environment. The only globally recognized organization for certifying that a facility meets the GFAS Standards of Excellence and recognizes those as a true “sanctuary.” As such, facilities around the world, large and small, come to GFAS for guidance and support in achieving and maintaining GFAS-accredited status.

HEART (Humane Education Advocates Reaching Teachers) was incorporated in November of 2001 and operates as a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity and offers free resources and services.
HEART’s services are specially designed to provide a combined focus on social justice, animal protection, and environmental preservation. They impact the way young people think about their responsibility to one another, animals, and the natural world and give students the tools to make positive changes. They are the only full-service provider of humane education in the New York City, Chicago, and Indianapolis areas, and their reach extends worldwide.
Refuse to Ride is a wonderful initiative by Wildlife S.O.S. India that seeks to educate the globe about the importance of not riding elephants or supporting facilities that offer elephant rides. It offers ways for anyone to get involved and help elephants that face the tragic abuse involved in this industry.
